Hear from our team about their transformative experiences
At first, I was hesitant to apply for a job at DOXA Day Camp. I wasn't sure if my more reserved nature would be a good fit for such a high-energy environment. However, from the very beginning, the staff were incredibly supportive and encouraging. We each brought different strengths to the team, and together we balanced one another out. Where I lacked, others stepped in—and where others needed support, I was able to contribute. It was a truly collaborative environment that allowed me to grow personally and professionally, and I'm grateful to have been part of such a thoughtful and dedicated team.
I've been involved in DOXA Camps since I was in grade 8…However, when I first came to DOXA, I immediately felt welcomed. Through DOXA I've experienced God's love through the people there. For the people at DOXA, being a Christian isn't just believing in Christ's death and resurrection, but also devoting your life to Him. I then realized that being a Christian also means living out what you believe, and since then I've been trying to do that in my everyday life. I've grown not only in leadership, but also socially as well as spiritually. My experience at DOXA has shaped me into the person I am today.

Working at DOXA Camps this summer was such a transformative experience. From the very first week, I was challenged to step outside of my comfort zone, and in doing so, I grew in ways I never expected. One of the highlights was getting to know the kids—watching them laugh, learn, and encounter God in such genuine ways was truly inspiring. Being part of the Remix program was also unforgettable; the energy, creativity, and joy of those moments reminded me why camp ministry makes such a lasting impact. The DOXA team quickly became like a second family to me. Serving alongside people who shared the same heart for God and for others created such a strong sense of community, and I felt supported every step of the way. God used this summer to teach me the importance of trust, patience, and leaning into Him when things felt overwhelming. Looking back, I can honestly say that DOXA Camps was not just a job—it was a place where I grew in my faith, discovered new strengths, and built lasting friendships.

Serving at DOXA Camps was one of the greatest blessings God gave me. I'm so thankful for the friendships I made and the connections that have lasted. Being at camp taught me how to be a better example of Christ and a stronger leader. I will always be grateful for the impact it had on my life.

DOXA Camps helped me remember what discipleship is truly supposed to be like—God meets us where we are so we can share His message with others. One of my favourite parts of this job was working with the Junior Staff and watching them grow in such a short time. From praying together at Remix to seeing them take initiative with no grumbling, the summer was full of powerful moments that reminded me why this ministry matters. I learned so much about leadership, community, and what it means to submit to God's guidance first. DOXA wasn't just a workplace—it was a place where faith multiplied.

Working with DOXA Camps this year was truly a valuable experience that helped me strengthen my relationship with God. I loved being able to form meaningful connections with my peers and campers that showed me how everyone is unique in their own way. One of many memorable experiences I can think of is when I experienced my first worship night at Remix.
Working with DOXA Camps this summer was a blast! I helped prepare for camp & got to plan for trips, the budget, volunteer training & more. REMIX was a lot of fun - it's my second year. I got to train others but also learn a lot about how to love others & see them with compassion. The devos with the DC team were so meaningful & a lot of fun.

I have worked for Doxa Camps for multiple years and the community is one of the best things about Doxa that keeps me coming back every year. God's love can be felt throughout the entire staff as we share two months of working, bonding, and truly becoming like siblings. Even when challenges came—like the internet going down—our team came together with creativity and perseverance to worship and serve however we could. I also love working with the children; they bring so much joy with their questions, stories, and laughter. DOXA Camps is a place where community, creativity, and Christ-centered love come alive.

This was my first actual job and it was a really great experience. From going to Remix to actually working with the kids, this whole experience felt like a huge blessing. What I loved the most about working with DOXA camps is the community. The staff bonded so much over just the few days of Remix, and we continued to get closer with each other as the summer went on.
