Vision: Young people transformed by the Gospel, local churches empowered to reach their community, and young people equipped to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our Story

From humble beginnings to transforming lives across Scarborough

DOXA Camps began in 2012 as “WORD” Day Camp, hosted at Bridletowne Park Church under the leadership of our founding director, Alain Virgin. Over the years, Alain invested in and mentored Kirushanthan Krishnapillai, not knowing that he would carry the vision forward.

In the summer of 2024, a transition took place as Alain passed the mantle of DOXA Camps Director to Kirushanthan. That same year, Alain concluded his time with Youth Unlimited to serve as a full-time Associate and Youth Pastor at Calvary Church Toronto.

In 2025, Kirushanthan led DOXA Camps independently alongside a team approach with Micheal Morrision as Associate Director for the first time.

We hire summer staff—mostly high school, college, and university students—using various funding sources to run a full summer day camp in our various locations.

DOXA Camps is a program of DOXA in Scarborough and a ministry under Youth Unlimited Toronto.
